Anthony Alfonso, president and CEO of Nutri-Force Nutrition, has received the 2014 Top Minority Business Award in the Executive of the Year category from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. The Miami Lakes-based business is a cGMP leader in the contract manufacturing, private labeling and branding of nutraceuticals, vitamins, and nutritional supplements.

“It is an honor to be named Executive of the Year and be recognized among so many other minorities each with their own unique entrepreneurial success stories,” said Alfonso.  “I am also grateful to lead a group of outstanding employees who share my passion and are equally committed to innovation and customer service. On a daily basis, they are my inspiration.”

The Top Minority Business Awards’ Executive of the Year category recognizes an executive who has devoted time and energy to strengthen and transform their organization. The nominee must have been in the position for more than three years and have demonstrated vision and leadership over several years, including specific situations or initiatives where the nominee’s insight, discernment and ability to lead have inspired their organization to a new level of growth, achievement and recognition.

Alfonso is known for having a high degree of passion, desire, determination, discipline and dedication. With annual revenue of $83 million in 2013, Alfonso and his senior management team are credited with leading Nutri-Force Nutrition to explosive growth in the last three years. Alfonso is especially proud of Nutri-Force’s new $13 million, 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art softgel vitamin plant in Miami Lakes – a project that skeptics told him could not be built in Florida due to the state’s high humidity in combination with the sensitivity of the technology the plant would require. Lastly, Alfonso volunteers his time mentoring youth in the community and the company contributes to many charitable causes including the donation of vitamins to needy organizations.
