Small business owners will not want to miss a free, action-packed workshop that will provide the inside track on how to do business with Miami-Dade County, become innovative and ready for growth and get financing.
The Miami Lakes Economic Development Committee along with experts from Miami-Dade County, BankUnited and Prospera will all speak at Miami Lakes Town Hall on Friday, Sept. 22.
Registration and breakfast begin at 9:30 a.m. at 6601 Main St. Five sessions in the program are scheduled to end at 12:30 p.m.
Economic Development Committee Chair Matthew Casamayor, Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid and Miami-Dade Commissioner Sen. Rene Garcia will kick off the workshop.
Presenters include:
--Francesca Covey of the Miami-Dade County Office of Innovation and Economic Development;
--Danilo Vargas, small business innovation manager at STRIVE305;
--Ana Rioseco of Miami-Dade County small business development;
--Gail Burr, a vice president at BankUnited;
--Jesus Padilla, Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida International University;
--Annette Hungler, program manager at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University and
--Myrna Sonora, regional vice president, Prospera.
Immediately afterward there will be networking next door at Chela’s Cocteleria with the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce and the Miami Lakes BNI Chapter.
