The Graham Companies began the year by recognizing two executives in its Hospitality Division: David Healy and Danny Martinez.
David Healy was named president of Graham Hospitality, where he oversees 131 employees.
Healy joined The Graham Companies in 2003 as controller for Graham Hospitality.
Over two decades, his leadership, operational expertise and strategic insight have been central to the success and stability of the division, Alina Molina, vice president of Human Resources, said in an email to employees.
“Throughout this time, David has led the division’s performance, strategy and operations across Miami Lakes Hotel on Main, Miami Lakes Athletic Club and Miami Lakes Golf Club,” Molina said.
Healy guided financial performance, strengthened operations and led the division through periods of growth as well as during the pandemic, which challenged the entire hotel industry, she said.
“I’m truly honored to be recognized as president of The Graham Companies’ Hospitality Division and grateful for the trust placed in me over the years,” Healy said. “It’s been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated teams, and I look forward to continuing to build on our strong foundation and future growth together.
Healy’s title aligns with his leadership and day-to-day responsibilities and impact, according to the company. He is widely respected for his collaborative leadership style, integrity and is known for developing strong teams. One of his team members, Danny Martinez, was promoted to vice president of Golf Operations.
Martinez, 37, began his career with The Graham Companies in 2010 in the Residential Division. In 2022, he returned to The Graham Companies as a leasing associate in the Commercial Division.
Two years later, he was appointed project manager for the $12.5 million renovation and reconstruction of Miami Lakes Golf Club.
Martinez recruited the designer and oversaw all aspects of the transformation of the course that is a town and company landmark.
“Under Danny’s direction, the project was completed successfully and has resulted in a significantly enhanced golf experience for members and guests,” Molina said.
“His proven ability to manage complex projects position him well to guide the continued success and growth of our golf operations,” she said.
The club has sold nearly all of its 150 memberships.
Since its November reopening, players and celebrity athletes have flocked to the course, even though the clubhouse and driving range are not yet built.
“For as long as I can remember, Miami Lakes Golf Club has been my favorite place in the world,” Martinez said. “I hope that after our course and facilities are complete, that that sentiment will be shared by others in the community.
“We are committed to providing a world-class, publicly accessible golf course with a vibrant junior program for years to come,” Martinez said.
