Town of Miami Lakes recognized the efforts put forth by the town’s Building Official, Eliezer Palacio, in partnership with The Graham Companies, that has resulted in all pump stations in Miami Lakes that serve commercial areas being removed from moratorium.
The moratorium has had a direct impact on both the town and The Graham Companies’ ability to recruit and retain businesses.
The problem stemmed from Miami-Dade County’s old sewer system and water treatment plants badly in need of renovation and replacement. Previously, any new sewage outflow that served these areas was prohibited.
