Zonta Club of Miami Lakes sponsors a Z Club at Barbara Goleman Senior High School

       The Zonta Club of Miami Lakes has sponsored a Z Club at Barbara Goleman Senior High School. In September during Club Rush Day, The Zonta Club of Miami Lakes’ members Monica Reina and Claudine Perez met with Z Club Sponsor Steffi Grunauer, Co-Sponsor Ana Soto-Gonzalez and Z Club President, senior Katherine Taybo at the school.

     Local Zonta chapters sponsor high school clubs to help students develop leadership skills and work on projects that align with Zonta International’s mission. Those goals include advancing the rights of women and girls worldwide through service and advocacy. Katherine Taybo announced the group’s first initiative: collecting lightly worn T-shirts that will be repurposed into materials to aid victims of human trafficking, the group said.
