FIU honors women's golf team

Florida International University president Mark Rosenberg honored the women’s golf team after the group finished in the top ten percent of women's golf programs across the nation with a perfect APR score. “Our academic progress report has been perfect for the last several years,” FIU coach Joe Vogel said. “There has been great work by our student athletes and tremendous support from the Student Athletic Academic Center, especially our guidance from Cristiana Estevez.” APR, or Academic Progress Rate, holds institutions accountable for the academic progress of their student-athletes through a team-based metric that accounts for the eligibility and retention of each student-athlete for each academic term.
