The Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative will host its 8th Annual Pink Walk 5K run and walk on Sept. 22 at Miami Dade College’s North Campus.
Runners, walkers, families and friends can help the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative that is based in Miami Lakes to raise $100,000.
The money will go toward the organization's goals: education, screenings and treatment for women, college students and low-income populations that lack resources to beat the disease.
Participants are encouraged to set up personal fundraising pages to allow others to contribute.
There will be live music, a DJ, sponsor swag at the event to be emceed by Constance Jones, news anchor and reporter for WTVJ- Ch. 6. On race day, registration begins at 6 a.m. at Miami Dade College, 11380 NW 27th Ave. in Miami. Events kick off at 7:30 a.m.
