The Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee is offering free monthly field trips for seniors to attend Miami Marlins games this year. Seniors receive free admission to each game courtesy of the Miami Marlins.Transportation is provided to and from Town Hall, 6100 Main Street. The Miami Lakes Optimist Club recently concluded its Spring 2016 Flag Football season. Over 225 children participated in the league this season, receiving trophies at the league's closing ceremony event on Saturday, May 14, at Royal Oaks Park. Just two weeks after his high school graduation from Pace High School, right-handed ace pitcher Christopher Rodriguez was drafted 126th overall in the fourth round of the MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Angels on June 10.
