  A group of members from Shula’s Golf Club traveled to Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York this past July.  The group which I led, played the resort’s four courses: Sandstone Hollow, Shenendoah, Kaluhyat, and Atunyote. Local Junior golfer and Miami Lakes K-8 Center student, Ian Christopher Rodriguez, earned a second place tie in the finals of the Youth Sports Championship Series hosted by Miami-Dade County Mayor, Carlos Gimenez. Three days later Rodriguez was awarded Overall Boys Champion at the summer  Junior Golf Series at Miami Springs Country Club.
