On October 1, Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School hosted the All Cat​holic Conference North Division “Dig Pink” volleyball games as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On the first day, the “Dig Pink” games raised over $200 for the Breast Cancer Foundation of Miami. The goal is to raise $1,000 and educate girls about this important cause.   The Miami Wildcats 16-and-under softball team recently won the ESPN/USSSA World Series Championship in Orlando, Florida. Forty-six teams competed in the 16-and -under division, including teams from California, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Arizona and Alabama, during the eight-day tournament.
