Florida International University student-athlete Brittany Haskell has been named the Conference USA Diver of the Week, the league announced last week.
The junior finished first in the one-meter and second in the 3-meter programs as the Panthers won the FIU Sprint Invitational on January 6.
The native of London, Ontario scored a career-best mark of 301.65 in the 1-meter program for the top spot in the meet. Her score was also a season-best among all C-USA divers. Haskell followed that with a second-place finish in the 3-meter program (265.05). Haskell and the FIU diving corps swept both events, taking the top three spots in each during the invitational.
The award is the first of Haskell's career.
The Panthers will host the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles on Saturday, January 28, beginning at noon in the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center.
