On April 15, for the second time this school year, student athletes from Pace High School signed Letters of Intent to attend college in front of their fellow students at the Pace Spartan Center. They were accompanied by their families and friends who treated the student body to cake.

Four varsity baseball players were among the signees. Damian Alba signed with Point Park University in Pittsburgh, brothers Eddie and Elliott Cutillas signed with Rollins College in Winter Park, and Lorenzo Hampton Jr. signed with the University of California Berkeley.

Pace wrestler Christopher Moreno followed his older brother Ramon Moreno, a Class of 2012 Pace alumnus, by signing with Coker College in South Carolina. Christopher Moreno’s younger brother and current Pace wrestler Stephen Moreno ranked fourth in his weight class in Florida at the FHSAA State Wrestling Tournament this year.

In total, nine Pace student athletes from the Class of 2015 signed Letters of Intent to attend universities. The previous four students signed with Olive-Harvey College, Bethune-Cookman University, the University of North Florida, and Florida International University.
