Garcia brothers continue their campaign 'Give a Ball, Spread the Love' for basketball donations

Lifelong Miami Lakes residents Carlos and Keven Garcia are again collecting new basketballs to benefit the children at the Overtown Youth Center OVC).
The brothers, who are avid basketball fans 17 and 14 years old, started the campaign in 2013 and have collected hundreds of basketballs that were donated in an effort to keep kids physically active and engaged.
By “spreading the love” of basketball, the brothers have turned their passion for the sports into a life-changing event for those receiving them.
The goal this year is to collect 200 basketballs which will be donated at a recreational game with the kids at the OVC.
The Town of Miami Lakes will act as a donation site for the “Give a Ball, Spread the Love” campaign between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. until Friday, April 27. Basketballs may also be dropped off at the Law Offices of Gloria M. Garcia, P.A., 6500 Cow Pen Road, Suite 302.
