Barbara Goleman High School student Noel Hernandez won the Bronze Medal last month at the Pan American U21 Juniors and Cadets Karate Federation Continental Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hernandez competed in the 14-15 Elite Kumite -52kg category, where more than 200 junior athletes, males and females, participated in the annual combat event. Hernandez earned a spot on the junior national team consisting of the best athletes representing the United States in the prestigious international event.
