The annual Miami Lakes Senior Games Track and Field events were held at Barbara Goleman High School on February 24 hosted by the Town’s Elderly Affairs Committee. In a random selection of event photos taken by town liaison Nathalie Garcia, pictured is Bob Jones, a retired dentist from New Jersey, showing his Shot Put form as he won the 70’s age group with a heave of 28’04”. Alberto Sordo-Ramos edges out Dick Poczciweinski in the 200-meter dash in the 80’s age group, and Miami Lakes Sports Shop owner Jim Hamilton does his impersonation of a Boeing 747 in the Standing Broad Jump. Hamilton took 2nd place with a leap of 4’4”.
