Registration for Miami Lakes spring athletic programs is underway. Four programs are available for boys and girls: tennis, basketball, soccer and baseball/softball. Play happens at Royal Oaks Park, 16500 NW 87th Ave. and Optimist Park, 6411 NW 162 St.
• MGT Academy Tennis Boys and girls ages 7 - 12 can join this youth league to work on fundamental tennis skills two times a week at Optimist Park. • 305 Sports Basketball Academy Basketball youth league for kids ages four to 17 at Optimist Park for 16 weeks. Learn basketball fundamentals with two practices and one game each week. • Miami Lakes United Soccer Club Boys and girls may join the Miami Lakes United Soccer Club program at Royal Oaks Park. The program is open to kids ages four to 15. Soccer runs from Jan. 29 to April 6. Cost for returning Miami Lakes residents is $175 and $195 for new players. Price for new players also includes uniforms. • Optimist Baseball and Softball Sign-ups for Miami Lakes Optimist Baseball and Softball as well as for T-ball ends Jan. 21. T-ball costs $165, baseball and softball are $190.
