Miami Lakes’ final Super Saturday at the Park on March 17 will be highlighted by the 20th annual Bike Rodeo and Safety Day.

The free event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Picnic Park West, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue, is coordinated by the Youth Activities Task Force and sponsored, in part, by Andy’s Police Supply and the Town of Miami Lakes Police Department.

The popular event is designed to provide children with the opportunity to learn about bicycle safety while interacting with various branches of law enforcement officers.

The first 150 attendees will also receive a free helmet and a chance to win toys, prizes, and one of 15 bikes to be given away in raffles.

The Bob Graham Education Center’s Bobcat Jumpers will provide a special performance at the event. Limited SPIN bikes will be available to rent for the day. Participants may visit the SPIN booth to enter a raffle for a free month of SPIN bike rentals/rides.

Additional activities include a bike safety course, a K9 Unit demonstration, photo booth fun, and more.

Saturday, March 17 also marks the final Community Bike Ride for this season. Registration opens at 9 a.m. at Picnic Park West for the 5.5-mile family-friendly loop.

As event sponsor, Miami Lakes’ Neighborhood Improvement Committee encouraged riders to wear green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Other activities for the final Saturday at the Park include:

Farmer’s Market, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Yoga in the Park, in partnership with 305 Yoga, from 9 to 10 a.m.

Boot Camp, in partnership with Fit Like Me, from 9 to 10 a.m.
