Mater Lakes Academy shooting guard Cyrus Largie was named MVP as he led his team to the RMF Tournament Championship in Orlando after he averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Last season, Largie bounced back from a leg injury and averaged 20 points, six rebounds and four assists per game, leading the Bears to the postseason.

The highlight of the Bears’ season came when he scored 25 points and 15 rebounds against top-ranked Suncoast High, as the Bears rallied from a 15 point deficit to win 88-85.

The senior will lead his team for the upcoming basketball season, as the local pundits predict the Bears should make the playoffs.
