MDC women’s volleyball team remains No. 1

With an 10-0 record, Miami-Dade College women’s volleyball team held on to its No. 1 ranking in the NJCAA Division One poll.

The Lady Sharks were voted No. 1 in the preseason poll following last year’s national championship victory over Iowa Western. 

Iowa Western is No. 2, followed by Panola at No. 3, No. 4 ranked Western Nebraska, and Southern Idaho at No. 5.

Miami Dade College is led by sophomore outside hitter Massiel Matos, sophomore middle blacker Paula Barbosa Louro, and freshmen right side hitter Smart Caraballo.
The Lady Sharks are seeking to win their second consecutive national championship this year.
The 2017 NJCAA Division I Volleyball Championshiop is scheduled for November 16-18 at Hutchinson Sports Arena in Kansas.
