Miami Dade College women’s volleyball captain Deborah Constanzo recently signed her national letter of intent with Missouri Valley College. The 6'1 middle blocker will spend the next two years of her collegiate career under the Vikings head coach Brett Holt.
“Deborah is a MB with a big presence on the court,” said MDC head coach Kiko Benoit. “She is an excellent blocker and a great hitter. If by any chance the team needs a RS or OH she would be able to do that as well.”
This past season, Constanzo played an important role in helping the Lady Sharks win the 2016 FCSAA Volleyball State Championship and the NJCAA Division-1 Volleyball National Championship. As a sophomore, the La Romana, Dominican Republic native finished the season with 150 kills, 24 blocks, 38 block assists, and 60 digs. In addition, Constanzo was named to the 2016 All-Southern Conference Second Team.
