Miami Lakes United Soccer Club U16 girl’s team reached the round of 16 at the 2018 Florida Youth Soccer Association’s Florida State Cup after defeating Florida Krush of Orlando, 6-2, in Auburndale, Florida. The team fell to Pinecrest, 6-2, and was eliminated from the tournament. The event is part the FYSA Championship series that includes the Florida Presidents Cup and Commissioner’s Cup. The United Soccer Club was among 10,000 teams that competed in the highest premiere event, where teen soccer players demonstrated their soccer skills against their competitors in the nation, while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.
