Our Lady of the Lakes Spring boys varsity Flag Football team is currently undefeated at 5-0 and in first place in the All Catholic Conference North Division with only three games left in the season.
The boys dominated Blessed Trinity in their March 10 game with a 34-6 victory. They were led defensively by Danny Diaz who had 7 sacks, and offensively by Andres Gancedo who had 2 rushing touchdowns and 3 passed caught for touchdowns. Justin Quintana had 2 touchdown completion. In the team’s five games to date, they outscored their opponents 150 to 52.
The Cheetahs hold the number 1 seed in the All Catholic Conference 3A classification playoffs to be held at Monsignor Edward Pace High School starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 28.
