The Miami Lakes Optimist Club recently concluded its Fall 2017 Flag Football season. Over 300 children participated in the league this season, receiving trophies at the league's closing ceremony event on at Royal Oaks Park.
Congratulations to the 6U age division champion Buccaneers, 8U division champion Vikings, 10U division champion Dolphins, 12U division champion Dolphins, and 14U division champion Seahawks.

The Optimist Club’s Flag Football program is a youth flag football league for kids ages 5-14 with games on Saturday mornings at Royal Oaks Park. Practices are once or twice a week at night. At the conclusion of games every week, pictures are posted on the league's Facebook page at Facebook.com/MIAFlagFootball. Registration is $120 and includes a jersey, football equipment, and a season-ending trophy.
