Jack McCall’s enshrinement into the inaugural Hall of Fame and a golf tournament in his memory will highlight the Optimist Club of Miami Lakes’ 50th anniversary celebration which includes a dinner to honor past presidents and volunteers of the organization.
The golf tournament kicks off the event at 8 a.m., July 27, at Shula’s Golf Club, 7601 Miami Lakes Drive, where the proceeds will benefit Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
The golf tournament will be held annually in honor of McCall, who devoted his life to coaching kids and helped improve their academic skills in the classroom for 45 years.
