Miami Lakes Optimist Club is holding try outs for its boys and girls basketball program on Saturday, May 6, at Barbara Goleman High School, 14100 N.W. 89th Avenue.
Try outs for the Bronco League (ages 11-12 for boys, and ages 13 and 16 for the girls) starts at 9 a.m.
Try outs for Pony League (ages 13-14 for boys and for girls) starts at 10:30 a.m.
Try outs for Colt League (ages 15-18 for boys and girls are mixed with boys teams depending on enrollment) starts noon.
Try outs for Pinto League (ages 7-8 for boys, and ages 7-8-9 for girls) starts at 10:30 a.m.
Try outs for Mustang League (ages 9-10 for boys and ages 7-8-9 for girls) starts at noon.
The regular season is scheduled to start Monday, June 12 and the games will be played at Goleman High School and Hialeah Gardens High School.
Practice starts on Monday, May 15, with a time to be announced at local locations like Goleman, Hialeah Gardens, American High School and Miami Lakes Middle School.
