Optimist Club wraps up the Flag Football season

The Miami Lakes Optimist Club recently concluded its Spring 2019 NFL Flag Football season. Over 390 children participated in the league this season receiving trophies at the league's closing ceremony event on Saturday, May 18, at Royal Oaks Park.
Congratulations to the 8U division champion Chiefs, 10U division champion Ravens, 12U division champion Packers, and 14U division champion Colts.

Many of these businesses are based in Miami Lakes and their sponsorship exemplifies a strong commitment to the community and the Town's youth sports programs. The Optimist Club of Miami Lakes Flag Football program is a youth flag football league for kids ages 5-14 with games on Saturday mornings at Royal Oaks Park in Miami Lakes.
Practices are once or twice a week at night. Registration is $120 for residents of Miami Lakes and includes a jersey, football equipment and a season-ending trophy.
