Optimist's conclude the Spring Flag Football season

The Miami Lakes Optimist Club recently concluded its Spring 2016 Flag Football season. 
Over 225 children participated in the league this season, receiving trophies at the league's closing ceremony event on Saturday, May 14, at Royal Oaks Park. Congratulations to the 5-7 division champion Patriots, 8-9 division champion Chargers, 10-11 division champion Saints, and 12-13 division champion Vikings.

Most of these businesses are based in Miami Lakes and their sponsorship exemplifies a strong commitment to the community and the Town's youth sports programs.

The Optimist Club of Miami Lakes Flag Football program is a youth flag football league for kids ages 5-13 with games on Saturday mornings at Royal Oaks Park. Practices are once or twice a week at night. At the conclusion of games every week, pictures are posted on the league's Facebook page at Facebook.com/MIAFlagFootball. Registration is $120 for new players and $100 for returning players.
