Pace Flag Football team captures District title

Pace High School’s flag football team defeated Miami Norland, 26-0, last week to capture the District Championship. The win gave head coach John Rodriguez the 100th win in his career.

The Lady Spartans clobbered Goleman High, 63-0, in the first game of the district tournament to reach the championship game.  

In other high school sports news, in softball, Gulliver Prep shut out Mater Lakes, 15-0, in the 4A Region quarterfinals, and McArthur defeated Mater Academy, 13-3, in the Region 8A quarterfinals, and American shutout South Miami, 15-0, in the Region 4-9 quarterfinals.
