Pace High’s Anglers Club hosts 8th annual Spartan Fishing Tournament

Pace High School returned to Islamorada’s La Siesta Resort and Marina on August 18 and 19 for its 8th Annual Spartan Fishing Tournament.

Participants included Pace alumni, students, friends and family as they competed both inshore and offshore in the multi-species tournament. The award for largest fish in the tournament was won by Pace Senior Brandon Garcia and his team. Garcia is an avid fishermand an active member of the Spartan Anglers Club.

The tournament was hosted by Pace’s Anglers Club, and proceeds will benefit both the club and the Spartans-4-Spartans program, which aids Monsignor Edward Pace students whose families suffer financial crises.
