Monsignor Edward Pace High School found a creative way to engage students while they learned their lessons from home.
Pace hosted an E-Sports tournament called Spartans Smash Bros. on Sept. 5.
Students from all grades were able to compete through a Pace app.
Freshman Eric Nortmann (shown above) took first place and won a HyperX Cloud II gaming headset. Ricardo Santos won a $50 Amazon gift card for second place, and third place winner Matthew Paz won a $25 Amazon gift card.
The school is at 15600 NW 32nd Ave. in Miami Gardens.
