Pace High School senior point guard Gianni Domond signed her letter of intent to play basketball for St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens.
Domond, who averaged 17 points, 13 rebounds and three assists per game this past season, was named to The Miami Herald All-Dade First Team.
She also was the Christmas Tournament Most Valuable Player, a member of the Thanksgiving and New Years All-Tournament teams and played in the Miami-Dade and Broward All-Star game.
“She’s a very energetic young lady who communicated well with her teammates,” said Spartans’ head coach Adam Hopkins. “She has the ability to make her teammates play well.”
Lomond, who graduated with a 3.6 GPA, is planning to study criminal justice and possibly follow in her mother’s footsteps. She is a correctional officer, Hopkins said.
