Pace swimmer Rivero takes 20th at states

Finishing with a time of 55.15 in the 100-meter butterfly, Monsignor Edward Pace High School junior Juan Camilo Rivero (pictured above) placed 20th at the Class 2A state championships on Nov. 8.
To get there, Rivero finished 8th at the regionals and won the district championship in the same event.
“He’s an awesome kid who loves to compete at a high level each time he swims,” Coach Victoria Spadafora said.“He was very excited to compete in the state championships.”--David Snelling
