Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee’s 2018 Senior Games events continue on Saturday, February 24, with the 12th annual Track and Field contests from 9 to 11 a.m. at Barbara Goleman Senior High School, 14100 N.W. 89 Avenue.
Co-sponsored by The Graham Companies, the track and field contests will include a 100-Meter Dash, Shot Put, Discus throw, Archery, Horseshoes, Standing Broad Jump, 400-Meter Run, Soccer Accuracy Kick, and a 800-Meter Race.
Entry for all the contests is free. Participants will receive a t-shirt and ribbons and pins will be awarded to winners in each age division for the male and female groups.
Future Senior Games include a Canasta Tournament on March 16, a Duplicate Bridge Tournament on April 16, and a Basketball Shooting competition on August 25.
