St. Thomas University women’s volleyball is ranked No. 2 in the Sun Conference Coaches Preseason Poll.
Under the guidance of new head coach Christina Ludwick, the team returns a loaded roster of experienced players with the goal of winning The Sun Conference Championship and in turn, advancing to the national tournament in 2016.
Last year’s team posted a 23-10 record and a 10-2 Sun Conference mark, and finished second in the league standings.
STU’s 2016 season starts with back-to-back tournaments on August 19-20 and August 26-27 at the Fernandez Family Center featuring top teams from across the country.
The Bobcats will then travel to Nashville, Tennessee for a match-up with Fisk University before participating in the Kentucky Crossover tournament September 2-3 in Barbourville, Kentucky.
