Three Miami Dade College basketball stars sign National Letters of Intent

Miami Dade College women’s basketball players Michelle Pruitt, Toi Smith and Amy Soumare recently signed their National Letters of Intent to play for two top NCAA Division I schools in Texas.
Pruitt committed to UTEP and Smith and Soumare will play for Prairie View A & M University.
The trio helped the Lady Sharks to a 22-9 record (11-1 in conference play) and won back-to-back FCSAA Southern Conference titles.
Last season, Pruitt was honored as an All-American honorable mention after averaging 16.4 points per game, grabbed 10 rebounds while shooting 60 percent from the free throw line.
Smith averaged 11.5 points per game and lead the conference in three pointers, and Soumare averaged 5.1 points and 6 rebounds per game.
