Miami Lakes’ Sports Hall of Fame committee has issued the first call for Hall of Fame Inductee nominations.
The Sports Hall of Fame, an initiative brought forward by Mayor Manny Cid and supported by the Town Council, will be located in the new Miami Lakes Optimist Park Clubhouse at Optimist Park, 6411 N.W. 162 Street, which is nearly complete.
The committee is seeking nominations to honor athletes, coaches, community members and teams from the Town of Miami Lakes for outstanding contributions or achievements in sports.
Nominations may be for an individual or a team that has excelled and/or brought positive recognition to the Town.
Deadline for nominations is Wednesday, April 5.
