Flavia Cuervo, a former Miami Lakes Educational Center student and current Marketing/Public Relations director at Harvard University’s Model UN, has continued to impress her alma mater with her personal and professional accomplishments. This fall Cuervo gained clearance to the Vatican to be part of a select delegation that would hear the Pope speak. During her time there, she was able to snap a selfie with him. Former classmates and teachers keep up with Cuervo’s work through Harvard’s hashtag #WorldMun2016. “Again, our kids are achieving the unimaginable,” said journalism teacher Neyda Borges.
