Goleman's Alyssa Moore wins GMAC Conference badminton singles title

Barbara Goleman High student-athlete Alyssa Moore recently did her school proud by winning the the Greater Miami Athletic Conference (GMAC) singles championship in badminton.
Her victory marked the third consecutive year the Gators won the GMAC title in the sport under longtime head coach Debbie Perez who guided her players to victory during the GMAC and district competitions.
Badminton is a sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net in which the most common forms of the game are singles with one player per side.
Badminton also includes doubles competition and points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side’s half of the court.
Moore mastered the skills in badminton to win the GMAC championship.
