High school seniors who want to become nurses may apply for a scholarship from the Gina Rose Montalto Memorial Foundation.
The submission deadline is May 30th.
Gina Rose was among 17 students and staff killed in the shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland in 2018.
In honor of what would have been Gina Rose’s 18th birthday, the foundation is awarding nine scholarships, $2,000 each.
Applicants may be from any town, city or state. The foundation said it wants to support students who will join the health care professionals who are getting society through these difficult times.
