A weekly outdoor gathering that was to begin on Thursday, Jan. 27 and every Thursday night thereafter has been postponed.

The event, called Food Trucks + More, is still planned to eventually be held in the municipal parking lot along New Barn Road near Northwest 67th Avenue in Miami Lakes. This report will be updated when organizers finalize their arrangements.

From 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., up to 15 mobile chefs will offer Vegan, Greek, Mexican, Chinese and American dishes and assorted desserts.

“We figure people will have forgotten their New Year’s resolutions by then,” said Diego Caiola, project director of the Florida Marketplace Group, the same entity that runs the Miami Lakes Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and shared the photo above.

Miami Lakes restaurants and bakeries will also have a presence at the event, which will feature music and entertainment, Caiola said. Tables and chairs will be set up for dining.  The Graham Companies is a sponsor of Food Trucks + More.
