Pace Senior Dimitri Wolff receives Gates Millennium Scholar Award
Wednesday, June 18, 2014
Dimitri Wolff, graduating senior from Monsignor Edward Pace High School, has received the Gates Millennium Scholarship award, one of only 1,000 nationally selected students. Wolff has excelled academically in honors and advanced level courses throughout his high school career, and he is a gifted athlete, consistently recognized for breaking records in track and field, while also a valued member of the band and drum line.
As one of the few select winners for the Gates Millennium Scholarship, Wolff will be able to use the scholarship award towards any U.S. college or university of his choice. He has chosen to attend University of Notre Dame, where his college finances will be covered with this scholarship.
If Wolff chooses to pursue graduate studies in the fields of computer science, education, engineering, or mathematics, he may be eligible to receive further funding from his award for the length of his graduate career. While various students are involved in challenging academics and extracurricular activities at Pace High School, it is Wolff’s firm dedication and consistent accomplishments that earned him the scholarship.
