Miami Lakes Library sets June programs

Miami Lakes Branch Library announced the following programs that are available for the public during May and early June:For Children and Families:Movies and Stories for Kids – Watch favorite movies with family and friends. Miami Lakes will be performing annual maintenance to the athletic fields at Miami Lakes Optimist Park and Royal Oaks Park beginning June 10 and running through August 9. During this period, most athletic fields will be closed.Residents and family membes will have access to one area at Optimist Park north of the basketall courts for play in addition to the perimeter berm areas for exercises.Residents can also take advantage of the open play...

The Coding Doctors Kids Club held their fundraiser on May 21. The club was looking to raise money to buy a bundle of VEX robots. The event at Ben & Jerry’s and Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza was very successful as over 150 people attended. The club was able to raise enough money to buy their bundle.
