Diners who miss some of the dishes once served at Shula’s Steak House may want to check out ML Steaks + Sports.
The restaurant inside the Miami Lakes Hotel on Main has added new menu items, “with a throwback from Shula’s Steak House,” General Manager Bruce Lawrence said.
Those classic dishes include:
--Calamari Fries at $18, strips (not circles) of tender calamari that is lightly breaded, flash-fried and served with a side of marinara sauce;
--Crab Cakes, at $18, served with remoulade and if ordered as a $38 entree, grilled lemon and a choice of two side dishes.
---And they’re bringing back the 8 ounce Black Angus Filet Mignon, finished with fresh herbed butter for $54.
Another new appetizer is a White Chorizo Queso Dip, served with fresh tortilla chips for $13.
New on the salad list are:
--Burrata salad with cherry tomatoes and a choice of dressings: Extra virgin olive oil, balsamic glaze, basil pesto or red onion, for $13.
--A Greek Wedge comes with crisp Romaine lettuce, diced grilled chicken, tomatoes, banana peppers, cucumbers, red onion, pepperoncini, feta cheese, kalamata olives and a red wine vinaigrette, for $17.
A new steak dish is Surf & Turf, blackened steak tips and bacon-wrapped shrimp, for $38. A Pepper Jack Burger has bourbon onions, lettuce and tomato, for $17.
ML Sizzlin’ Fajitas come with beef ($28); chicken ($23) or a combo, ($28). They are served with two BBQ bacon-wrapped shrimp, sauteed peppers and onions, cheddar or Jack cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, shredded lettuce and warm flour tortillas.
Also new is the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich, with lettuce, tomato, red onion and a pickle for $16.
Whether dining at tables, booths or at the bar, ML Steaks + Sports is a fun, casual place to meet friends and watch the NHL or NBA Finals.
To stay connected, there is free Wi-Fi and power outlets in the booths and at the bar.
The full menu includes appetizers, salads, steaks, fish and pasta entrees, ribs and even Grandma’s Meatloaf ($23) that comes with
smashed potatoes; burgers, sandwiches and sides.
