A new landmark on Miami Lakes Drive

It showed up without fanfare and prompted lots of speculation on Facebook. What is it?
A 50-foot-high 5G cell tower that rose at the northwest corner of Miami Lakes Drive and Northwest 87th Avenue.
The tower was installed on the public right of way and conforms to code, which requires the pole not be higher than existing utility poles in the same right of way, the town said.
The permit applicant is Crown Castle Fiber, LLC, on behalf of tower owner T-Mobile, according to the telecommunications company.
