Giardino Gourmet Salads, the South Florida-based fast casual concept focused on garden-to-bowl nutrition, is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week by offering nearly 7,000 Miami-Dade and Broward County teachers a free salad, wrap or grain bowl in gratitude for the important contributions that teachers make across South Florida every day.
“We have all had a teacher that has made a difference in our lives, and our Giardino Gourmet Salads owners are no exception. This idea, which was initiated by our individual restaurant owners, was in response to their overwhelming desire to give back to the dedicated and passionate teachers in their communities,” said Ody Lugo, founder and board member of Giardino Gourmet Salads.
“As a former Miami-Dade County teacher, I know first-hand that teachers across South Florida unconditionally spend hundreds of thousands of dollars of their own money every year to improve their classrooms and enrich the lives of their students. This small gesture is just a simple way for us to say thank you for their incredible commitment to our communities and for planting the seeds of knowledge.”
Beginning on Monday, May 7 through Friday, June 8, nearly 7,000 teachers from the surrounding schools of participating Giardino Gourmet Salad locations will be able to redeem a special coupon given to them by their school administrators for a free salad, wrap or grain bowl. Certain locations will be participating along with the location at the Park Centre Shopping Center in the Town of Miami Lakes.
“In Miami Lakes alone, we have several neighborhood schools that have supported us since we opened within just a few minutes of our restaurant including Miami Lakes Middle School, Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High School, Mater Lakes Academy and Bob Graham Educational Center, among others,” said Lilly Tudela, Miami Lakes Giardino Gourmet Salads owner.
“We’re planning to give away nearly 700 free salads, wraps or grain bowls to show our appreciation for the invaluable contributions these Miami Lakes and Hialeah teachers make to educate, encourage and challenge our children.”
