Interns train at JetStream Federal Credit Union’s Future Financial Professionals summer program

JetStream Financial Credit Union of Miami Lakes hosted seven students from local schools to participate in its 2024 Future Financial Professional Summer Intern Program.

For four weeks, the students learned from institutions including the Center for Financial Training, Miami-Dade County Public Schools and JetStream.

They acquired professional skills and were trained in financial products and services; banking; teller work; lending and finance and how to be employable, JetStream said.

The students earned certificates from the American Bankers Association.

This year, JetStream hosted students from Barbara Goleman Senior High School, William H. Turner Technical Arts High School and Miami Lakes Educational Center.

JetStream Federal Credit Union was established in South Florida in 1948 and provides banking and financing services to the community.

“Operating as a federally not-for-profit chartered credit union, we offer products and services that others may overlook,” Chief Executive Officer and President Jeanne Kucey said in a press release.

The credit union serves clients who live, work, do business, worship or study in Miami-Dade County.

Credit union members may invest in high yield savings products and apply for loans with competitive interest rates. JetStream also offers certificates of deposit, loans on new and used autos, personal loans and no-credit check loans.

It will also visit local businesses to teach financial tips and training to employees in free, 45-minute bilingual seminars.
