Local Cruise Planners welcome the arrival of MSC's new ship Divina

On November 20, the MSC Divina will debut in North American as she sails on her maiden voyage from PortMiami.Peter Pacheco of Cruise Planners American Express said that the signature 3-night sailing will featured a sail-away party with complimentary signature cocktails, spectacular fireworks display, photo opportunities with the MSC Diva, MSC memorabilia gifts and other special performances.

Pacheco added that guests sailing on November 20 will be among the first to experience two entirely unique Eataly dining venues: The upscale Ristorante Italia and a spectacular regional steakhouse, Manzo, fashioned after the famed restaurant in Eataly’s Manhattan location.MSC Divina will also be the first ship to offer Aqua Cycling at sea, this summer’s latest fitness craze.

For the 3-night sailing, MSC Divina will be making stops for the first time in Cape Canaveral in Florida, and the private island experience of Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.On November 23, MSC Divina will depart on a 7-night voyage visiting for the first time in Phillipsburg, St. Marten, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Year-round, MSC Divina will be offering alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Christened by legendary actress and “diva” Sophia Loren, MSC Divina features 1,751 staterooms, 322,900 square feet of public space, a casino, seven restaurants, 18 bars and lounges, five swimming pools (including an infinity pool), a bowling alley, theater, gym, spa, internet cafe, conference center, kids and teen areas, and MSC’s signature “ship within a ship,” the MSC Yacht Club.

MSC offers free sailing for kids 11 and younger when sailing with two full fare paying guests in the same stateroom, and children 12 to 17 sail at a reduced rate.Peter and Janet Pacheco of Cruise Planners American Express announced two holiday sailings with special holiday rates on MSC Divina.

A Thanksgiving 7-night cruise sails November 23 starting at $579 per person, and a Christmas 7-night cruise sails December 21 starting at $729 per person.
