Miami Lakes Chevrolet has donated $500 to the Miami Lakes Optimist Club to help purchase equipment and uniforms for the program’s baseball program, a partnership that has grown for the past 10 years.
Eddy Seijo, sales manager for Miami Lakes Chevrolet, said his company has donated a total of $15,000 to the Optimist Club since 2006.
“We have been doing it every year for 10 years and will continue donating to the Optimist Club,” he said. “It keeps us involved in the community and helps out a program that has been part of the community for many years. We love to continue to sponsor them.”
Jim Hamilton, longtime president of the Optimist Club, said Miami Lakes Chevrolet’s support helps keep the baseball program running.
“It helps us purchase equipment and our test drive program,” he said. “It’s a nice relationship.”
