Optimist Club's Summer Baseball Camp planned for four sessions in June and August

The Miami Lakes Optimist Club is hosting its 2019 Baseball Summer Camp for kids between the ages of 5 and 15.
The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily in four sessions: June 17-21, June 24-28, August 5-9 and August 12-16.
The fee is $175 per week with lunch included for non-Miami Lakes residents, and $160 per week for residents and returning Optimist baseball players.
Camp activities include hitting drills, tee work, front toss, live pitching, bunting, fielding, grounding balls, throwing, proper mechanics, long toss, base running, sliding and pitching mechanics.
Former MLB players Gus Gandarillas (Milwaukee Brewers), Alex Fernandez (Florida Marlins and Chicago White Sox) and Alex Ochoa (New York Mets and Boston Red Sox) are scheduled to appear at the camp to lend their expertise to kids on how to improve their game.
The camp’s early drop off is at 8 a.m. with pick up no later than 5 p.m.
