The Graham Companies has made two charitable donations to support refugees and victims of the war in Ukraine.
The company has given $15,000 to World Central Kitchen, founded by renowned chef and activist Jose Andres.
Since Feb. 24, when Russia invaded Ukraine, the organization has provided free hot meals to refugees along the border with Poland and in Moldova, Romania and Hungary, the group’s website says.
It feeds people around the world who are fleeing danger from natural disasters and conflict zones.
Another $15,000 gift was given to UNICEF USA. The organization is working with partners to help vulnerable children and families with essential services.
“The conflict in Ukraine is a devastating humanitarian crisis,” said Andrea Graham Rechichi, vice president of corporate relations for The Graham
Companies. “The Graham Companies has for ninety years stood by our values of service and community. Our hearts go out to the Ukrainian people who have been forced to flee their homes and have been caught in the middle of the conflict, as well as to those fighting to protect their country.”
The Graham Companies developed the town of Miami Lakes from its family’s dairy farm. It is a diversified company, with interests in dairy, beef, and pecan orchard farming as well real estate developments encompassing residential, office, industrial, retail and hospitality holdings, according to its website.
